On July I returned from a vacation with my family to find my sweet little friend Kokopelli had died. He was on the bottom of his cage, I guess the question of "why" will not be answered, but I will always wonder what happened. He was my baby, he talked like no other bird, I had him for just about 2 years and  I had worked with him for that whole time. I did not get but only a few small videos of him talking, and regret that but every time I set up the camera he shut up!

He could say " I love you Mama" "You're my Baby,Baby" "Here Kitty, kitty"...he would Meow which he learned from my new cat that we kept in his room when he was a kitten.  "Whatca Doin"  "Here we go" "Kokopelli" "Pretty Bird" "Come here!" he also imitated the vacuum and a squeaky door. He would give me a "kiss" and whistle the "wolf whistle" He often sat on my shoulder preening while I painted.

I feel a great loss, this little bird gave me such joy!

Goodbye little friend, may you fly with God in heaven!

My life has had its ups and downs just like anyone, however I feel very blessed to have been here to experience it even in the worst times, I still have felt God's blessings!

The worst thing I ever painted.......

In the 70's we had a van....you guessed it I painted it................it was ugly pure and simple...I had only been painting for a couple of years. The guy's my husband worked with called it the "attack of the trees". On the other side I painted the whole area with pine trees!
